AWANA Club Ministries
Young people hold a special place in Jesus’ heart. He sacrificed His life for them. He longs for them to come to know, love and serve Him. He desires to spend eternity with them. His kingdom belongs to such as these.
Because kids matter to Him, His hope is also the hope of Awana. We believe that Jesus is the answer to every child’s needs, particularly for salvation. Awana has been carefully crafted to communicate this good news each week of the Awana year. Through handbook assignments, gospel presentations, Scripture memorization and interaction with Awana leaders, young people will clearly and consistently encounter the truth of Christ and His plan for their lives.
Awana is equally committed to training kids to follow Jesus. Through Bible-based teaching and the mentoring of devoted leaders, boys and girls develop into fully committed Christians who are motivated to impact their world. And teens receive hands-on ministry experience that prepares them for leadership in their church and community today and in the future.
A fun approach is taken to the serious calling of shaping young people’s lives. Weekly Awana meetings feature a mix of games, contests, prizes, awards and encouragement. Awana has such a youth-friendly appeal that kids invite their friends, and they all keep coming back for more.
Central’s AWANA program is held on Monday evenings from 6pm – 8pm and runs from September through May.
